Mass Tort/Pharmaceutical Implant Litigation

A large part of Bret Stanley's practice concerns mass tort/pharmaceutical device litigation. Currently, Mr. Stanley manages Eiland Law's cases in the Transvaginal Mesh multi-district litigation, Inferior Vena Cava Filter multi-district litigation, Hurricane Harvey Eminent Domain litigation, and Las Vegas Shooting litigation. Collectively, these litigations comprise more than 2,000 claims and are being prosecuted against some of the biggest corporations in the world.

Mr. Stanley has developed processes to manage all phases of mass tort litigation from client intake, case work-up/filing, through settlement. Mr. Stanley acted as the managing attorney in charge of Eiland Law's transvaginal mesh docket of more than 1100 clients. Mr. Stanley managed Eiland Law's transvaginal mesh cases from initial intake, complaint filing, medical record acquisition, discovery, profile form and fact sheet submission, expert designation, settlement negotiation, and final resolution and settlement. In the transvaginal mesh litigation, Mr. Stanley prepared and presented more than 100 Eiland Law clients for their deposition and deposed over 50 doctors associated with the implant and/or removal of vaginal mesh products.

Beyond client management of mass tort cases, Mr. Stanley has gained litigation experience against major pharmaceutical device manufacturers. Mr. Stanley has deposed hostile corporate witnesses of pharmaceutical companies, taken 30(b)(6) depositions of hostile corporate representatives, developed a general causation expert witness report affecting thousands of cases, prepared and presented general causation plaintiff experts for deposition, developed case specific expert reports on hundreds of Eiland Law cases, prepared and presented case specific experts for depositions, deposed hostile pharmaceutical company expert witnesses, drafted and served full written discovery, completed full motion practice (dispositive motions, Daubert motions, motions in limine, etc.), drafted and filed an appeal to the circuit court, and attended portions of almost every transvaginal mesh case brought to trial.

Insurance Litigation & Contract Dispute

Catastrophic Injury & Car Wreck Litigation

Bret Stanley has substantial experience litigating personal injury and car wreck claims. Mr. Stanley handles all phases of a personal injury claim and has taken personal injury claims to trial.
